Waiting
Sometimes problems can occur on the day, such as someone being ill. You may then be asked to return on another day. The court will try to minimise the waiting time as much as they can.
If you are concerned about any delays, you should speak to the lawyer or person who cited you to be a witness.
Even once the case starts, delays can occur and some witnesses may have to wait quite a long time before it is their turn to give evidence. It may be that the witness giving evidence before you is taking longer than expected.
While you're in the waiting area.
When you have finished giving your evidence, you cannot go back into the witness waiting room.
