Waiting to give evidence
When you arrive at the court you will be asked to sit in a waiting room.
Someone can wait with you if you want. Sometimes there will be other witnesses in the waiting room. Do not speak to other witnesses about what you are going to say in court.
You might have to wait a long time in the waiting room. Someone will come and tell you when it is time for you to give your evidence.
Sometimes you will be told that you do not need to give your evidence.
Sometimes you will be told to come back on another day to give your evidence. If this happens you need to go back to court on the date they give you.
